About Delectables Squeeze Up Cat Treats
Delectables Squeeze Up cat treats are made by Hartz, a well-known pet products company based in the United States.
According to the company website, Hartz was started in 1926 by young German immigrant Max Stern. Stern established his business in New York City with singing canaries, soon expanding to packaged bird food. This began the Hartz line of pet products. In the 1950s, the company expanded into fish and aquarium products. In the 1960s they added products for dogs and cats, including the Hartz flea and tick collar. Their flea and tick collar is still the top-selling flea and tick collar for dogs and cats in the United States today.
Since 2000 the company has been sold and merged several times with other companies. The dominant shareholders today are a Japanese-based company. Hartz makes over 1500 different products for all kinds of pets and their products are sold globally.
Per Hartz, their Delectables treats were the first gourmet wet cat treat. The treats are available as lickable treats, squeeze-ups, broths, stews, bisques, and in other textures. They also make kitten, adult, and senior formulas.
Delectables Squeeze Ups are described as the first interactive wet cat treat. The treat is a rich puree in a lickable tube for hand feeding. They can also be served in a bowl or as a topper for your cat’s normal meal.
Delectables have recently rolled out a new ad campaign for their products.
Sourcing And Manufacturing
Delectables are made in Thailand, according to information on the Hartz FAQ page. They state that Thailand is one of the world’s richest sources of tuna, which is a key ingredient in their treats.
We would guess that many of the brand’s ingredients come from Thailand or nearby countries. That’s not uncommon for many of the cat foods that are made in Thailand today. However, that’s only a guess and we don’t can’t verify it at this time. We didn’t find that information from Hartz.
Have Delectables Squeeze Up Cat Treats Been Recalled?
We did not find any recalls for Hartz cat treats in general, or for Delectables Squeeze Up treats in particular in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration database. Hartz has had several recalls for dog treats in the past. They have also had several recalls for fish products.
We only looked at foods and treats and didn’t look at the other products made by Hartz.
What Kinds Of Cat Treats does Delectables Squeeze Ups Offer?
Delectables mainly come in Squeeze Ups and Lickable Treats. The textures available include the Squeeze Up tubes, soft pate, stew, bisque, chowder, and savory broths. The treats are made for kittens, adults, and for senior cats.

Positive Reviews
Three months ago, I adopted a 1.5 year old cat. Needless to say, she’s been spoiled rotten. Simone is a little chunky, so she needs to lose a little. She’s on a wet food diet but does get the occasional treat. I was looking for something other than the crunchy treats that she would like.
… My goodness-I brought these home and she loved them from the start! She would eat them 24/7 if she was able to open them herself. 😄 I give her one when I leave for work and another before bedtime. She follows me around when it’s close to treat time. Once I say “Let’s go and get your treat!” it’s like some lit a fire under her and she flies down the stairs and into the kitchen. They are definitely a hit around this house! – by Donna, reviewing Hartz Delectables Squeeze Up Interactive Lickable Wet Cat Treats on September 29, 2022
Cats love this stuff more than I’d’ve believed possible. My herd (five of them) come running when they hear the top of the container unscrewing. And even my feral kitty – who won’t let me come near her under normal circumstances – will rub on my ankles and reach up with her paws to ask politely for a taste. If I hold the Squeeze Up in one hand I can even apply flea preventative to the feral while she licks at the pouch, she loves it that much.
I also use Squeeze Ups to mix with medicines when my babies require them. Rather than squirt medication into their mouths and have them spit half of it back out I just mix it with a Delectables, and have yet to *not* have a cat lick up every single drop.
Best part is that even my oldest cat, who doesn’t have many teeth left, can enjoy these treats; no chewing required! – by Kindle Customer reviewing Hartz Delectables Squeeze Up Interactive Lickable Wet Cat Treats on September 25, 2022
Negative Reviews
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought my cat would love these but h didn’t she turned her nose up at them and walked away – by mechelle_nv_jg96p reviewing Hartz Delectables Squeeze Up Variety Pack Interactive Lickable Wet Cat TreatI’m actually angry over this treat. I failed to read the list of ingredients and that’s my fault but why name a product “CHICKEN” if the first ingredient is fish? My cat developed a fish allergy due to the ubiquitous use of tuna in so many cat products. In spite of the Mercury levels in tuna, manufacturers continues to use it in most foods for cats. Irresponsible choice of profit over the heath of the consumer. – by Kaeen reviewing 10-Pack Variety Squeeze Up Cat Treats a year ago.
How Much Do Delectables Squeeze Up Treats Cost?
Delectables Squeeze Ups are very modestly priced in the U.S. We found the 10-pack variety package online for $6.49 at a feed store.
Walmart carries packages of four tubes for around $2.43.
Chewy carries Delectables in larger packs and bundles.
Delectables are also available in Canada. We found them online in a number of countries but Hartz doesn’t provide a listing of countries where they are sold so you will have to check individual sites.
Overall, Are Delectables Squeeze Up Cat Treats A Good Choice?
Delectables Squeeze Ups are a favorite with cats and many customers. The ingredients appear to be average. Hartz doesn’t provide any detailed information about the ingredients or where they are sourced. However, cat food and treats made in Thailand are generally made according to EU regulations which are high.
There are better quality treats but we would recommend Squeeze Ups. They seem to be good value treats. You could compare them to Temptations Creamy Puree and Friskies Lil Soups.
How Do You Order Idelectables Squeeze Ups Cat Treats?
Delectables Squeeze Ups are widely available in North America. They are found in supermarkets, Walmarts, pet stores, and many places that sell pet foods. You can order them online from the same stores. Chewy.com also carries them in bulk.
Overseas, you can find them on some of the pet food specialty sites.
I think coupons could be provided for these treats. Purina gives coupons on their food and treats and because of this I
would rather stick to Purina.
My kitten four months old is crazy about these I give him a half tube about three times a day.. he’d est the whole thing is I met him but I have the bigger packets and I don’t want him to refuse his food like he did with the other treats.. just loves them
I think these (tubes) squeeze ups, are usually under filled. Is there any quantity control in the weight of the tube paid for?
I cut cut the tube with scissors at the b and there was nothing on the a side. It’s a was a lack of product or a waste of packaging environmentally.
My youngest of 4 cats loves these, she has us so trained in her fix of squeezables , except Saturday 10/08 /23, she turned her nose up to it and walked away. Well I gave the full tube to my oldest cat, Dingus, he loved it. Monday morning @330 am he was crying in pain. Packed him up first thing and off to the vet. He was diagnosed with kidney failure, levels so high they had to dilute and retest his blood. Ding passed in the hospital alone last night, I’m so heartbroken and giving myself blame over giving a possible bad tube of this stuff to a cat not used to it? I don’t know what to think. Any one else have this happen?
Hello Mark, I’m so sorry this happened. It’s hard to say what happened, exactly, but if you have any remaining tubes from the same package of Delectables treats, you may be able to submit it for testing to find out whether or not it contributed to what happened. Again, I’m terribly sorry you went through this—sounds like a traumatic experience, even without the guilt. Wishing you all the best, and I’m sorry it took me so long to get back to you.
this just happened to our cat of 9 yrs – we bought the treat and she ate it sat night and on sunday she was sick and passed over night – we are heartbroken to say the least – we dont know hot to report this or who to report it to
I am so incredibly sorry! That is a horrible thing to happen, especially this time of year. I know the pain. Again, I’m terribly sorry 😞
Why does my cat act high and extremely funny after eating Delectables? My husband won’t let me give him more than 1 a day until I find out why.
Interesting question. Could it just be that he’s excited about the treat? To my knowledge, there’s nothing in the product that would directly cause this.
My cat does that same exact thing And so I decided to researthis is squeezatreat treat to see if there were possibly drugs.
But I couldn’t find anything. my cat acts like he just did some math mixed with mushrooms after eating that and I want to know why.
I’m a bit surprised these received such a high grade. Guar gum causes many digestive issues. I gave them to a cat who had intestinal cancer and was required to eat anything he wanted, and he wanted these.
I also think they are wildly expensive.
And these were my thoughts before I had a bad experience with the company! 😊
I love this site!
My cat loves these , but I dislike dispensing the product , could there not be a squeeze bottle instead ? A bit costly for a treat
Valid point, Louise! The single-serve packets can be a hassle but they do keep the product fresh. If your cat likes the soft texture, you could try offering small portions of a high-protein pate-style cat food as a treat instead.
Contents changed. I use to spoon out the contents and find meat and gravy, now it looks like broth. I’ll find something else. Or make my own At more than a dollar a pouch. I’ll ask my cats if they want me to make it using Prime Rib. You execs must have kids wanting to go Harvard

I HATE your ad for Delectables. It is gratingly annoying to watch adults reciting alliterative phrases ad nauseum. Hard to imagine you can’t accomplish your memorability goals without this nonsense, which is a turnoff.
